Spathiphyllum sp. var. is otherwise known as a Variegated Peace Lily. It boasts bold stripy markings on its deep green leaves in enchanting shades of pale green to cream. Not only visually stunning as it produces white flowers, it is also fairly low maintenance.

I call these bathroom plants - good with lower light conditions (you still need a window or a grow light), loves humidity and the substrate must be consistently moist.  This plant is physically dramatic with sagging foliage when it is in desperate need of water. Not to worry though, it will perk up within the hour after watering.
