After serving 22 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, it was time for a change. A complete 180 actually! Sweetlife Flora is transforming my passion for exotic and rare house plants, as well as indoor plant care, into a full-fledged business. I want to share what I have learned over the years, so you can curate your very own urban jungle. My adventure off the beaten path will be a journey with you, the customers, to ensure that Sweetlife Flora meets and exceeds your expectations with respect to stock variety, quantity and the follow-up plant care advice that will be provided.
My passion for plants developed out of necessity. I moved a lot over my career; my plant collection was always a stabilizing factor in each new domicile. My urban jungle grounded me and made each new place feel like home, no matter how far I had moved. In 2016, I was in an accident and sustained a severe concussion that changed the course of my life. I am still in the thick of the rehabilitation process. During the worst times, I was virtually incapable of taking care of myself. It was devastating, but the silver lining was that I could still take care of my plants and practice 'mindful horticulture'. I am eternally grateful for my indoor jungle's contribution to my recovery.
We want Sweetlife Flora to be your go-to store for exceptional exotic, hard-to-find, indoor botanical products, services and advice. Your feedback will be crucial in order for us to meet this goal. We want to know what products you want to see in the shop, positive reviews are always welcome and we will always respond to constructive feedback. Your experience is our #1 priority. We know you have other shopping options for plants, both online and from brick-and-mortar storefronts, and we encourage you to support small business. Know that we are committed to ensuring your Sweetlife Flora experience will be memorable. Now, with locations in both Ontario and Nova Scotia, we are even more accessible than ever!
