This Shipping Policy is in effect starting 1 May 2021. Should you require shipping, by completing your order you agree to the contents of this policy.
- Our plants are carefully screened, quarantined and acclimatized when they arrive at our Plant Studio. We ship bare root as often as possible, not just to prevent pest transmission, but also to maintain our reasonable shipping rates.
- We ONLY ship 1-2 day courier using FedEx, Purolator or UPS. If you live rurally, 1-2 day courier service may not be an option - in this case we’ll make sure your plant is in the mail for the least time possible. Due to the live nature of our products we are unable to purchase or provide insurance or coverage on parcels shipped by these couriers.
- Live plants are perishable. Once they leave our care, the conditions they experience during transport are out of our control. We take all necessary steps to provide acceptable packaging to minimize damage during shipping. This includes the addition of a free 72 hour heat pack from October - March or on request if you live in a cooler area.
- We only ship plants on Mondays. If your order is received after 8PM on Sunday, your order will be shipped out the following week.
- Customers are expected to make arrangements to receive your order at delivery. If you will not be available for an extended period of time to receive your order please contact us by email to delay your shipment.
- If a customer explicitly requests that we use a different shipping method, we will oblige, but it is 100% at the customer’s risk and we will not entertain dispute claims if the plant is damaged during shipping.
- Please contact us in the event of an unreasonable shipping delay, we will deal directly with the shipping partner.
- All live plant sales are FINAL unless a damage or DOA claim is submitted by email within 24 hours of receipt of the plant.
- Damage and/or DOA claims must include pictures of the plant and the box it was shipped in must be sent to us within 24 hours of receiving the plant.
- Pictures must include a full picture of the plant, close-ups of the leaves, petiole and roots.
- No refunds or replacements will be entertained if the claim wasn’t received within the 24 hour period after receipt of the plant.
Following shipping, the foliage of your plant may look limp after being in a non-ideal environment (lacking light and air circulation), leaves may yellow, and in some cases, minor defoliation may occur. Aroids, hoya and other tropicals may require a higher humidity environment to recover.
